1. The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town

Want to get inside this cocktail bar? Just walk into the fridge. Yep, you read that right.

If you head over to the Shoreditch branch of The Breakfast Club and ask to see the Mayor, you’ll be invited to head in through a Smeg fridge door, which will transport you to The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town, a hidden speakeasy bar.

Once inside, you’ll find a quirky, dark cocktail bar filled with vintage furniture. There are plenty of unique drinks on offer, with bottomless brunches available on the weekend.

Opening hours: Monday – Wednesday, 5:00pm – 11:30pm | Thursday – Friday, 5pm – 12am | Saturday, 12pm – 12am | Sunday, 12pm – 10pm

Address: 12-16 Artillery Ln, London E1 7LS

2. The Experimental Cocktail Club

Nestled in Chinatown, we wouldn’t blame you if you walked past this bar without noticing it. However, once you get inside the unmarked door, you’ll find three floors filled with cocktails and chatter.

Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time because this can get booked up!

Opening hours: Monday – Saturday, 6pm – 3am | Sunday, 6pm – midnight

Address: 13A Gerrard Street, London, W1D 5PS

Remember to also visit the Museum of Curiosities downstairs while you’re there.

Don’t delay in nabbing yourself a private booth in a slice of the Roaring Twenties.

5. Discount Suit Company

Don’t let the name deceive you – enter the Discount Suit Company and you’ll find one of London’s best hidden bars. Hidden behind the façade of the suit shop which was premised there before, the Discount Suit Company provides a cosy, intimate setting inside.

There isn’t a huge menu but there’s enough to please everyone, so much so that we would strongly recommend booking a table to make sure you get a seat.

Opening hours: Monday – Thursday, 5pm – 12am | Friday – Saturday, 2pm – 1am | Sunday, 5pm – 11pm

Address: 29 Wentworth Street, E1 7TB
