#1 Portobello & Golborne market
How could we miss Portobello Market? Walk on the same steps as Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts… Portobello & Golborne market is one of London’s oldest markets has been open every day since the 1800s. It became particularly famous for its antiques in the 1950s. Now there are numerous stalls offering everything from fruit and baked goods to posters, vintage and designer clothes, bric-a-brac, music and, of course, loads of antiques! You will find specialist food stalls selling baked goods, oils, olives, amazing cheeses, meats, seafood and much more! Most of the family-run stalls are lie amongst London’s best food destinations with fresh produce, essential and exotic ingredients from all around the world.
When: Every Friday to Sunday, 10am-5pm
#2 Borough Market
Located in the central London, Borough Market is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London (since 1851). Once inside, it’s easy to forget that you are in the middle of London! You will find different types of foods such as cheeses, oils, bread, meats etc. One of our favourite stalls: Spice Mountain. It’s an amazing spice stall which has any spice you can think of!
When: Monday to Saturday, 10am-5pm
#3 Camden Market
Located in North London on the Northern Line, the atmosphere at Camden Lock Market is amazing: the stalls are full of unexpected things. The food area has plenty of wonderful food options from countries far and wide. You can even walk off all of the delicious goodies you have tried by having a stroll along Regents canal. You can sit and enjoy the beautiful weather and enjoy a drink (or two!).
When: Monday to Friday, 10am-2pm
#4 Dinerama- Shoreditch
Dinerama, Shoreditch, is bursting with good vibes, good music and good drinks! Dinerama has 2 floors: full of food and drinks stalls! The ground floor is an indoor street food market selling various cuisines and upstairs you will find themed bars with different music and decor. It’s a great place to find and discover world food and craft beer!
When: Wednesday to Saturday, 5pm-12am
#5 Mercato Metropolitano – Elephant & Castle
The Mercato Metropolitano is a must if you are in London and want to enjoy great food and drinks! This Market has been recently renovated and has an open space with tables and benches where you can chill out and enjoy the good vibes… There are a wide variety of food stalls and different beer stands. There is something for everyone!
When: Monday to Sunday, 8am-11pm
#6 Pop Brixton
Pop Brixton combines the best bits of a street food market, event venue and shopping destination! It creates a unique place with full of independent businesses. They have a great selection of food and wines that you can enjoy on their sunny terrace.
